JOB SUMMARY:

The Asset Management Program intern will have the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals to gain valuable knowledge, skills, and in-field experiences associated with Project Management in the themed entertainment environment. Through shadowing members of the team, the intern will learn the full process for Construction projects at Universal Orlando Resort, and assist with the strategy execution to complete a construction project.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assists with project documentation.
  • Participates in Team Meetings and collaborates with various partners and disciplines.
  • Compiles information and creates reports to provide to leadership.
  • Assists updates to the SmartSheet workspace database.
  • Reviews and analyzes design documentation for construction drawings.
  • Reviews blueprints and detailed project schedules, estimates, and budgets.
  • Participates in field commissioning activities within Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios Florida, and back-of-house locations.
  • Completes tasks as required to move project phase forward.
  • Provides peripheral support in daily tasks for the current project phases.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required. 
  • A transcript is required upon application.
PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
  • Preferred majors include: Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Business Management, or similar.
  • Preferred coursework completed: Themed Entertainment, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.

  • This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2027.
  • Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
  • All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
