This internship opportunity is anticpated to be a part-time role(16-24hours per week) between the dates of September 2026-May 2027.
Role Summary
The Procurement Intern supports the Technology Procurement team by helping manage vendor relationships, contracts, and purchasing activities that enable the firm's technology operations. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience across the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including contract review, sourcing support, vendor onboarding, and spend analysis. Success in this role means delivering accurate, timely support, maintaining organized records, and building a strong foundation in enterprise procurement processes.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist in the drafting and review of contracts in accordance with Wipfli's guidelines and approval workflows.
  • Process purchase requests accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the contract repository by reviewing, filing, and organizing executed agreements, tracking expiration dates, and flagging upcoming renewals.
  • Support vendor onboarding and entry of vendor information into the asset management system.
  • Support contract renewal cycles by gathering documentation, coordinating with stakeholders, and tracking status.
  • Assist with sourcing activities such as RFP/RFQ preparation, vendor research, and pricing comparisons.
  • Help reconcile purchases against invoices and assist in resolving discrepancies.
  • Pull spend data and build reports or dashboards to support procurement analytics and decision-making.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives across the procurement lifecycle.
  • Handle confidential vendor, pricing, and contract information with discretion and professionalism.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Required Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Information Technology, Business, or a related field, with junior standing preferred.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and approach challenges with flexibility and creativity.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and related productivity tools.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire. The firm will not consider candidates who require current or future employment visa sponsorship (such as H-1B).
