The Role:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Music Royalty Label Supervisor to join our Encino, CA team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the preparation of label statements, manage royalty contracts and calculations, and lead a team dedicated to delivering accurate and timely royalty reporting for our music label clients.

What You Will Do:

  • Prepare, review, and approve all label statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Analyze and interpret royalty agreements/contracts, entering and maintaining data in royalty systems.
  • Supervise and manage Royalty Department staff, assigning tasks and overseeing daily workflow.
  • Drive process improvements to streamline statement generation and enhance department efficiency.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Account Managers, Partners, and other stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
  • Conduct reviews of incoming statements and support audit processes, as needed.
  • Lead or participate in special projects to support business objectives.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Minimum 3 years of accounting/royalty experience in the music industry; Direct work with royalty contracts and calculations.
  • Proficiency with at least one of the following or any other royalty system: Curve, Record Maestro, SR1, or Tone.
  • Advanced Excel skills (including formulas, macros, pivot tables, and data transformation).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring staff.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work independently.

Physical Requirements:

  • The role requires standing, walking, crouching, and lifting up to 15 pounds.
  • The position involves frequent use of hands as well as reaching with hands and arms.
  • The employee will regularly be required to talk, hear, see, and sit.
  • The work environment may involve a moderate to loud noise level.

Salary Range:

The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $125,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location.
