Blackrock Strategy is seeking motivated Department of War SkillBridge participants to support mission-focused initiatives across engineering, operational analysis, knowledge management, technical documentation, business operations, and emerging technologies.

Working alongside engineers, military professionals, program managers, and operational personnel, participants will contribute to real-world projects that support government customers while gaining practical experience aligned with their military backgrounds, professional interests, and transition goals.

Assignments are tailored to participant experience, company priorities, and customer requirements, providing exposure to defense operations, technology development, operational planning, engineering support, and business operations within a growing defense contractor.

SkillBridge participants are embedded within Blackrock Strategy's operational and technical teams based on their military background, experience, career interests, company priorities, and customer requirements.

Depending on assignment, participants may support:

Participants work alongside experienced engineers, operators, program managers, and business professionals while receiving mentorship and exposure to real-world defense programs. Throughout the internship, participants collaborate across cross-functional teams, gaining insight into how operational, engineering, and business organizations work together to deliver capabilities supporting national security missions.

Assignments may evolve throughout the program as business priorities, customer requirements, and participant strengths develop, providing broad exposure to the defense industry and multiple mission-support disciplines.

• Support operational analysis, research, and mission support activities.
• Assist with engineering support, technology assessments, data collection, and analytical efforts.
• Prepare reports, briefings, technical documentation, operational summaries, and presentations.
• Support knowledge management, documentation control, and information organization activities.
• Assist with operational planning, coordination, and project execution.
• Support engineering, operational, administrative, and program management teams.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives supporting operational efficiency.
• Contribute to defense modernization, experimentation, and emerging technology initiatives.
• Coordinate with government, military, industry, and internal stakeholders as required.
• Perform other duties supporting customer and organizational objectives as assigned.

• Internship conducted under the Department of War SkillBridge Program.
• Participation requires command approval and compliance with Department of War SkillBridge eligibility requirements.
• Assignments are based on military background, operational experience, business priorities, and customer needs.
• Opportunities may support engineering, operations, logistics, program management, business operations, recruiting, technical writing, cybersecurity, UAS, maritime operations, or other defense-focused functions.
• Remote or hybrid assignments may be available depending on customer requirements and position alignment.
• Successful participants may be considered for full-time employment based on performance, business needs, and available positions.

Candidates must possess:

• Active-duty military status with eligibility for Department of War SkillBridge participation.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong attention to detail and professionalism.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or comparable business software.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• A desire to learn, adapt, and contribute within a mission-focused defense environment.

• Experience supporting military operations or Joint planning activities.
• Experience working within operational, analytical, technical, engineering, or mission-support environments.
• Familiarity with operational analysis, knowledge management, engineering support, technology assessment, technical documentation, or project coordination.
• Experience collaborating across cross-functional or multi-disciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated interest in emerging technologies, innovation, defense modernization, or national security missions.
• Military backgrounds in operations, intelligence, logistics, communications, engineering, aviation, UAS, cybersecurity, program management, maintenance, technical writing, or mission planning are highly valued.

This opportunity is an unpaid Department of War SkillBridge internship conducted in accordance with SkillBridge program guidelines. Participants remain on active duty and continue to receive military pay and benefits through their respective branches of service throughout program participation.
