Student Career Coaches are a team of highly trained student employees who assist other students in their career exploration and planning.

Primary Duties

1. Advise students on the following topics: choosing a major, exploring career options, finding internships, preparing resumes and cover letters, job searching, graduate school planning, and building a professional network.
2. Craft action plans with the students according to their needs and interests.
3. Assist in marketing career services and events through campus adverting, information sessions, social media etc.
4. Act as a liaison to employers at career events (e.g. Career Expo, Mocktails, Accounting Night, Pizza with Professionals, etc.)
5. Serve as a champion of career services to peers
6. Coordinate and execute student engagement initiatives to raise awareness of the Messiah University Career and Professional Development Center events and services
7. Work on additional career-related projects as assigned
8. Maintain consistent and reliable attendance
