SME AI Management Analyst
The SME Management Analyst serves as a senior advisor responsible for leading governance, risk integration, and cross-functional coordination efforts supporting the implementation of the NIST Artificial Intelligence Risk Management Framework (AI RMF). This role drives development of governance artifacts, risk mapping frameworks, and operational integration strategies to enable consistent, transparent, and scalable AI risk management practices.
This position directly supports AI RMF lifecycle implementation, including governance (Govern), contextual risk mapping (Map), and operational risk integration (Manage), ensuring traceability across evaluation planning and decision-making processes
Key responsibilities include:
  1. AI Governance & Program Integration
  • Lead development of AI RMF governance frameworks, including roles, decision pathways, and oversight mechanisms
  • Develop governance integration briefs addressing evaluation readiness and escalation pathways
  • Ensure alignment between governance structures and TEVV planning activities
  1. Risk Mapping & Evaluation Readiness
  • Develop contextual risk mapping frameworks aligned with AI RMF "Map" function
  • Identify and document AI system context, risk factors, and assumptions supporting evaluation planning
  • Ensure traceability between risk identification and downstream evaluation priorities
  1. Operational Risk Integration
  • Design evaluation-to-risk integration frameworks connecting TEVV insights to operational risk management
  • Develop feedback loop documentation and continuous improvement mechanisms
  • Support translation of evaluation insights into actionable risk considerations
  1. Standards & Analytical Support
  • Support AI standards landscape analysis and alignment with AI RMF
  • Identify gaps, overlaps, and impacts across domestic and international standards efforts
  • Contribute to development of analytical briefs and technical documentation
  1. Program Coordination & Reporting
  • Support development of Work Plans, Monthly Status Reports, and Final Reports
  • Coordinate cross-task activities and ensure deliverable alignment
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement and communication with Government leads

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Business, Data Science, AI, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in federal consulting, program analysis, or AI governance
  • Demonstrated experience with AI risk management frameworks (e.g., NIST AI RMF)
  • Experience developing governance artifacts, frameworks, and analytical reports
  • Strong understanding of TEVV concepts and evaluation planning
  • Experience supporting NIST, DoC, or federal AI initiatives
  • Familiarity with OMB AI guidance and federal AI policy landscape
  • Experience supporting standards organizations or regulatory environments
