OPOC.us is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a premier client employer for the position of Marketing Manager. The selected candidate will be employed directly by the client, not by OPOC.us. Employer details will be shared during the interview process.
Position Description
The Marketing Manager will collaborate with internal shareholders to lead the marketing efforts of the company. The Marketing Manager will use their creative ideas and leadership skills to contribute to the company's reputation, culture, and brand recognition.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
RFP/RFQ Management
• Manage the entire RFP/RFQ cycle from beginning to end
• Utilize Microsoft Planner to communicate to shareholders regarding upcoming leads and current pursuits
• Implement client strategy to collect intel to help with overall messaging and pre- positioning efforts
• Create client strategies and capture plans to use as guides in producing message-driven content for submissions
• Understand and communicate the RFQ, RFP, and interview requirements to the pursuit team
• Communicate submission statuses to internal shareholders
• Ensure all submissions are completed in a timely manner, consistent with the brand, and exhibiting accurate information
• Write, edit, proofread, format, and assemble/prepare the required documents for final submission
• Lead the project interview preparation and team coordination to create presentations and leave-behind marketing materials
• Collaboration on partner relationships when outside partners are engaged
Content management
• Update and maintain project data, employee resumes, external company and contact information, client intel, and proposal text in the internal CRM system
• Create and update graphics library
• Work with third party vendors in coordinating all project and employee photography on an as needed basis
• Collaborate with the internal shareholders in managing content on the company's internal and external marketing pages.
• Ensure the content on the company website is up-to-date and make necessary changes utilizing the content management system.
Marketing initiatives
• Work with internal shareholders to develop and execute annual marketing plans for identified clients and projects for the year
• Collaborate with the Marketing Team to create and post monthly news items, project updates, press releases, and any other noteworthy content on the company website, LinkedIn, and internal marketing pages.
• Create and send internal email communications and digital newsletters
• Create/update all brochures, project sheets, resumes, banners, flyers, advertisements, jobsite signage, etc.
• Coordinate the organization and logistics of internal company and external industry events, including event participation (Job Fairs & Marketing Booths)
Brand management
• Manage and oversee purchasing of all company apparel and swag including shirts, safety vests, hats, hard hats, backpacks, etc.
• Ensure adherence and reinforcement of brand consistency and execute opportunities for brand awareness through submissions, awards, conferences, sponsorships, regional industry associations, media placements, etc.
• Provide ongoing guidance to internal staff of meeting brand requirements utilizing the brand and communications guide as an educational tool
• Partner with third party digital agency to develop additional branding needs on an as needed basis
Qualifications
• Minimum 5+ years in marketing, preferably within the AEC industry
• Bachelor's degree preferred in business or marketing, or similar education or experience considered
• Preferred experience in proposal and presentation planning, layout, developing and curating proposal content, graphics, and editing for the AEC industry
• Passion for developing fresh and creative approaches to conveying information
• Experience and ability to tailor writing content based on the project type, message, and intended target audience, ensuring it is exciting, engaging, and interesting
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Microsoft Office 365, and Illustrator
• Preferred knowledge of WordPress and experience with working and managing CRM
platforms
• Possess a strong drive to succeed
• Has excellent interpersonal, verbal, face-to-face communication, and written communication skills
• Are flexible, organized, and able to multi-task
• Has the ability to move seamlessly from long-term, strategic projects to urgent tactical implementation when needed
• Has the ability to facilitate presentations and interviews while managing diverse team personalities towards a successful outcome
