Job description

Description
The Sr. Workday HRIS Reporting Analyst is responsible for the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the Workday Human Resources Information System (HRIS) as it relates to Workday Reporting and Workday Prism Analytics. This role involves ensuring data accuracy, system efficiency, compliance with HR regulations, and providing end-user support. The Sr. Workday HRIS Reporting Analyst collaborates with HR and Management to identify appropriate enhancements, modifications, and corrections to all HR-related technology for process improvement and collaborates with IT and system vendors on implementing the changes and enhancements.
LOCATION: The position is based at Martin Marietta's headquarters in Raleigh, NC, and in office 5 days/week.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, test, and maintain Workday reports, including:
    • Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and Custom Reports with Calculated Fields
    • Dashboards, Discovery Boards, Worksheets, BIRT
  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, ingest reports, and integrations within Workday Prism.
  • Build and optimize Prism datasets, data models, and analytics solutions to support business reporting needs.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable and user-friendly reporting solutions.
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, Benefits, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security in accordance with Workday security roles and governance standards.
  • Support weekly migration meetings and documentation requirements
  • Support regulatory, compliance, and audit reporting needs (e.g., EEO-1, ACA, SOX, internal audits).
  • Troubleshoot reporting issues, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend improvements.
  • Perform testing, validation, and deployment of Workday Reporting and Prism solutions across development and production environments.
  • Provide internal client support, including report writing and dashboard building.
  • Optimize existing reports for performance, usability, and consistency.
  • Support Workday releases by testing report impacts and implementing enhancements.
  • Create documentation, job aids, and training materials for end users.
  • Promote best practices in Workday reporting, data governance, and self-service analytics.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Analytics, HR, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Workday reporting experience.
  • Extensive Workday Prism knowledge with creating and maintaining 5+ use cases.
  • 2+ years of statistical or data analysis experience designing custom reports and dashboards using standard Workday reporting functionality such as Report Writer, calculated fields, and Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong expertise in Workday reporting tools and frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of Workday business processes and data structures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions based on area of focus and needs of the business.
  • Experience working with calculated fields, prompts, and report performance optimization.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex data concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • A history of working with confidential data is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Workday Pro Reporting certification.
  • Workday Prism Certification.
  • Experience with Workday HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and Security.
  • Experience with Discovery Boards and data visualization best practices.
  • Familiarity with data governance, privacy, and security concepts.
  • Prior experience supporting a large Workday tenant ecosystem with multiple tenants.
  • Experience working with ServiceNow for HR Tickets.
