Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Web Accessibility Consultant to support the remediation and ongoing accessibility compliance of websites, web applications, and digital content. The consultant will identify accessibility issues, recommend and implement remediation strategies, and help integrate accessibility best practices into development, design, and content publishing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct accessibility audits of websites, web applications, and digital content.
  • Identify and document accessibility issues and provide practical remediation recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 and other applicable accessibility standards.
  • Work closely with developers, designers, content teams, and business stakeholders to incorporate accessibility into workflows.
  • Support remediation of web content and digital documents.
  • Perform accessibility testing using automated tools and manual testing techniques.
  • Test using assistive technologies, including screen readers such as NVDA.
  • Provide training and guidance on digital accessibility best practices.

  • Required Skills

    • Experience in web or digital accessibility.
    • Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1, accessibility standards, and accessibility compliance.
    • Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, ARIA, and accessible web development.
    • Experience with accessibility testing and remediation.
    • Familiarity with tools such as WAVE, Siteimprove, axe, or similar accessibility testing tools.
