Location: South Lake, TX (Primary) & Austin, TX (Secondary) Hybrid 3-4 Days onsite per week

React/ Next.js Accessibility Developer

We are seeking an experienced Front-End Developer with strong expertise in React, JavaScript, Next.js, web accessibility, and UI test automation using WebdriverIO. The developer will build responsive, accessible, and high-performing web applications while collaborating closely with product, design, QA, and backend teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using React, JavaScript, and Next.js.
  • Build reusable, responsive, and accessible UI components.
  • Ensure applications comply with WCAG 2.1/2.2, ADA, and Section 508 accessibility standards.
  • Perform accessibility testing using Axe, Lighthouse, WAVE, JAWS, NVDA, or VoiceOver.
  • Identify and remediate accessibility issues involving keyboard navigation, screen readers, focus management, semantic HTML, color contrast, and ARIA attributes.

WebdriverIO

  • Develop and maintain automated end-to-end and regression test scripts using WebdriverIO.
  • Collaborate with UX designers to translate designs and wireframes into high-quality user interfaces.
  • Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs and backend services.
  • Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, defect resolution, and performance optimization.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested, and standards-compliant code.
  • Work closely with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with WebdriverIO for UI automation testing.
  • Experience with state-management solutions such as Redux, Context API, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience integrating RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Agile/Scrum practices, and modern front-end development tools.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with TypeScript.
  • Experience with React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright, or similar testing frameworks.
  • Accessibility certification such as IAAP CPACC or WAS is an advantage.
  • Experience working on large-scale enterprise or financial-services applications.
  • Familiarity with Node.js, performance monitoring, and front-end security practices.
