Minimum Qualifications

  • Participating as a key member on the development team ย 

  • Proven experience as a web developer with a focus on accessibility

  • Understand and train others on common OOP concepts and design patterns

  • Self-review of skill gaps to cover our quarterly training hours

  • Take ownership of change management and SDLC processes and tools

  • Be able to give and receive feedback on requirements or code reviews

  • Able to debug code across the entire technology stack

  • Develop and document technical requirements and decisions

  • Self-starter that conducts small proof-of-concept projects to test out improvements

  • Take into consideration user experience and how to measure standard performance metrics

  • Conduct training sessions on knowledge sharing within and outside assigned teams

  • Establish strong relationships with business and IT members to deliver solid solutions

  • Maintains a high level of professionalism, regardless of business or client level

  • Confident in their own skill set to lead peers in expanding others' skills

  • Consistently delivers high-quality services and products

  • Able to provide adequate training and support to other colleagues on accessibility best practices

  • Manage Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) for various web technologies

  • Experience using accessibility tools; Evinced, WAVE, or JAWS a plus

  • Experience in mentoring staff on accessibility standards and tools

  • Experience working in a team environment. Demonstrative proficiency building and running accessibility test plans.

  • Experience with CI/CD accessibility testing a plus

  • Understands secure coding practices preferred

  • Experience in technical requirement gathering and documentation

  • Must be able to work independently on projects and within a remote team environment

  • Maintain effective relationships with business stakeholders and team members

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Have ability to travel on occasion based on business needs
