PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Forward Logistics Analyst is the subject matter expert for outbound logistics functions within the supply chain organization and provides logistical oversight to internal and external partners. This position works closely with the Reverse Logistics Analyst, Field Service, and third party logistics partners to ensure outbound material flow is accurate, timely, and well documented across the region. This is a hybrid position based at our Rocklin, CA headquarters.

PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manages vendor relationships, monitors outbound shipments, reports on KPIs, and sets expectations with 3PL and service partners.
- Leads vendor meetings and delivers training to SMA service partners on logistics expectations and procedures.
- Collaborates cross functionally with all SMA teams on the execution of agreed procedures and their implementation with partner companies.
- Partners with the Reverse Logistics Analyst and Field Service on annual inventory counts for Field Technicians, Service Technicians, Service Providers, and storage locations, including connexes.
- Works cross functionally with planning, purchasing and transportation, third party logistics partners, the regional competency center, and field service staff on materials pertaining to outbound orders.
- Communicates professionally and effectively by phone and email with internal and external customers on product, spare parts needs, and deliveries, and troubleshoots failures.
- Trains forward logistics coordinators and ensures they have the tools needed to succeed.
- Coordinates and oversees the entry of data in SAP based on Field Service reports in Salesforce, emails, and submitted forms, and analyzes, investigates, and resolves report discrepancies.
- Creates and maintains a library of procedures, technical manuals, software releases, and documentation.
- Prepares data for weekly reports, including KPIs, RMA returns, and inventory consumption.
- Other duties as may be required or assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- At least 3 years of experience in a logistics role.
- Knowledge of supply chain functions including procurement, warehousing, and transportation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and an elevated level of accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
- Ability to work onsite at our Rocklin, CA headquarters on scheduled hybrid days.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- A bachelor's degree.
- Experience with SAP and Salesforce.
- Experience supporting field service or spare parts operations.
- Experience working with third party logistics providers.

REQUIRED TRAINING

- High school diploma or GED.

OTHER SPECIALIZED SKILLS

- Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Comfort working with data and reporting tools to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Ability to document procedures clearly for use by others.
