Job description

What You'll Get to Do
The Freight Claims Specialist is focused on managing and recovering freight claims related to lost or damaged shipments across parcel and LTL carriers and reports to the Logistics Manager.

This role is perfect for an individual who is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and solutions-focused. A vital member of the Logistics Team, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Extract claims data from SAP, identify eligible claims, and submit claims to carriers (UPS, LTL providers, etc.)
  • Coordinate with external partners (e.g., ECO) using standardized documentation to process and track claims through resolution
  • Manage parcel claims via carrier dashboards, ensuring timely filing to recover eligible insurance amounts
  • Monitor claim status, maintain dashboards, and track recovery amounts, trends, and outstanding claims

What We Are Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in freight claims, logistics, customer service, or a related function
  • Working knowledge of SAP or experience navigating ERP systems to extract and analyze data
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to identify trends and recommend process improvements
  • Experience working with parcel and/or LTL carriers (UPS experience preferred)
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail and ability to manage manual processes in a fast-paced environment
