Our IP practice represents some of the world’s most innovative companies in patent, trademark, trade secret, and copyright litigation across a wide range of industries, including technology, life sciences, and consumer products.


Position Overview


We are seeking mid-level IP litigation associates (J.D. Class of 2022-2016) to join our dynamic and highly ranked Intellectual Property Litigation team. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile patent and technology disputes, engage in complex legal analysis, and gain hands-on courtroom experience in federal courts, before the ITC, and in PTAB proceedings.


Key Responsibilities

• Assist in all phases of patent, trademark, trade secret, and copyright litigation, including case strategy, legal research, and motion practice.

• Draft and argue motions in federal courts, ITC, and PTAB proceedings.

• Take and defend depositions, participate in witness preparation, and work closely with expert witnesses.

• Manage discovery, including drafting discovery requests, responses, and conducting document review.

• Conduct claim construction analysis and non-infringement/invalidity contentions.

• Work closely with partners and clients, providing strategic counsel on IP litigation matters.


Qualifications


✔ J.D. from a top-tier law school (T14 preferred).

✔ 2-8 years of IP litigation experience at a law firm handling complex patent disputes.

✔ Technical background (preferred but not required) in engineering, computer science, life sciences, or related fields.

✔ Strong experience in legal research, drafting pleadings, and oral advocacy.

✔ Admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; USPTO admission is a plus.
