Job description

Intake Coordinator

  • Schedules: 10:00 am - 7:00 pm Sunday through Tuesday and every other Wednesday
  • Compensation: $22 - $24/hour

Our company operates Residential Treatment Programs for individuals with Substance Abuse Disorder. We seek not merely to restore sobriety but to transform our patients’ worlds from a state of everlasting darkness to vibrant technicolor. We believe that treatment is local, individualized, holistic, and relational. We are currently in several states and rapidly growing nationally.

Responsibilities

  • Stationed in the lobby; at least one Intake Coordinator must be present at all times during assigned hours

  • Sole team member authorized to conduct new patient intakes

  • Monitor Intake Thread for incoming patients

  • Greet patients outside lobby door; for patients arriving by Uber, set alarm and interrupt other intakes to greet patient

  • Confirm patient arrival within 5 minutes on Intake Thread

  • Immediately gather patient phone and valuables for safe storage during intake

  • Tag patient luggage; ensure lead Patient Engagement Specialist places luggage in luggage room within 10 minutes of patient arrival

  • Complete consents and intake paperwork

  • Review Welcome Packet, provide towels and other critical items to patient

  • If two Intake Coordinators are present and fewer than 5 intakes are scheduled, one may be reassigned if other Patient Engagement Specialists call off shift

  • Complete urine drug screen and skin search on patient

  • Perform all other tasks as assigned by supervisor

  • Work as a highly dependable, independent member of the treatment team

  • Work cooperatively with all levels of employees and management

  • Be a committed team player willing to learn new skills

  • Report directly to the Patient Engagement Manager

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

  • 1+ year of experience working with substance abuse populations strongly preferred

  • Ability to stay calm in stressful or high-risk situations

  • Comfort with conflict required

  • Commitment to drug-free lifestyle and responsible alcohol use is essential

  • Authorization to work in the US is required
