Looking for a Medical Assistant to join our Intake team. Primary Responsibilities: • Patient Intake: Checking vitals and rooming patients. • Insurance Verification: Confirm insurance eligibility and verify coverage for new patients in compliance with California health insurance requirements. • Patient Information Management: Accurately obtain and document patient eligibility, coverage, benefits, and authorization information from insurance carriers • Records Maintenance: Ensure accurate and timely entry of patient demographic information in compliance with regulatory and insurance carrier requirements. Report any discrepancies to the supervisor or manager. • Client Communication: Respond to incoming calls and emails from prospective and current patients with professionalism and accuracy. Provide timely updates to clinicians, internal teams, and external insurance payers as necessary. • Intake Process Coordination: Collaborate with the Intake Department Administrator to stay informed of new processes, best practices, and relevant regulations to ensure accurate and complete information gathering. • Claims Resolution: Monitor outstanding patient balances and initiate appropriate actions for resolution, including liaising with clinicians, external insurance payers, and other entities as needed. • General Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the company as required, including project-based assistance and business development activities.
