The Role Itself
  • Intake specialist provides Clerical Support to the Assessment and Referral Department.
  • Maintains documents necessary for admissions.
  • Inventories patient belongings.
  • Processes consent forms and admission documentation.
  • Provides assistance to other units as necessary.
  • Communicates with families, patients, or referrals sources as needed.
  • Handles incoming referral calls from potential clients.
