Job description

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Clerical Support Intake Associate to support our Home Health Intake Department. This position plays an important role in helping the agency process referrals efficiently, communicate with referral sources, and support timely coordination of patient care.

The Clerical Support Intake Associate assists with gathering and organizing referral information, entering data into the electronic medical record, verifying that required documents are received, and helping the intake team maintain accurate and complete records.

Responsibilities may include answering phones, monitoring incoming referrals, requesting missing documentation, communicating with physician offices and referral sources, scanning and uploading records, assisting with insurance and demographic information, and providing general clerical support to the intake team.

The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and able to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Prior healthcare, home health, hospice, medical office, or clerical experience is preferred but not required.

Strong computer skills and experience using electronic medical records or other healthcare software is helpful.

Must have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with the intake team, clinical staff, physician offices, and referral sources.

Must be able to handle sensitive patient information in a professional and confidential manner.
