Program Manager A - NSK Corporation
The Company
NSK is a global manufacturer of ball and roller bearings, linear motion technology, automotive components and steering systems with both domestic and overseas manufacturing. NSK also offers a full range of services including reconditioning, ball screw repair, product integration, application engineering and predictive & preventative maintenance and reliability services. NSK's products and solutions are everywhere where things are in motion - even under the toughest conditions. NSK's high-precision rolling bearings are used in wind turbines and machine tools, linear components are found in production lines, while our automotive components are installed in the vehicles of almost every well-known automaker.
The Program Manager A Role
Lead new program launch projects in accordance with established Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) methods. Coordinate the implementation of project work for major customer programs ensuring the programs meet NSK and customer objectives for timing, product performance, and cost. Assigned projects may have a high degree of design and process complexity.
Responsibilities
  • Develop project plans for new programs.
  • Develop program launch strategy/project/plan to support effective and efficient utilization of APQP team resources in execution of customer and company objectives and deliverables.
  • Participate in the development of manufacturing, engineering, and materials plans and how to leverage them in support of program objectives and master schedule.
  • Assign activities of APQP team members in support of program plan, review assignments with team members and their managers.
  • Facilitate APQP team program status review meetings; prepare meeting agendas, document and track open issues to closure.
  • Coordinate resources, assets, and priorities to ensure project budget objectives are met for unit cost, equipment, tooling, and samples to achieve the program profitability goals.
  • Develop, promote, and maintain effective working relationships with customer project management counterparts.
  • Develop proficiency in principles of APQP disciplines. Stay current with customer requirements, execute APQP system improvement projects as required.
  • Facilitate preparation of program status for tollgate/gateway meetings and monthly program review meetings.
  • Work with other Project Leaders as required.

Qualifications
  • This job requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 4 to 6 years of position-related experience; preferably 6 to 8 years of position-related experience.
