Job description

Technique is looking for a Program Manager to join our team at our Jackson, Michigan facility. As a Program Manager, you will lead cross-functional manufacturing programs from initiation through delivery. You will ensure programs meet customer requirements, timelines, quality standards, and financial objectives while serving as the primary point of coordination across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and customer stakeholders.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field and brings 5+ years of program or project management experience in a manufacturing or technical environment. Experience in metal fabrication, stamping, welding, or precision manufacturing is strongly preferred, as is aerospace and defense manufacturing experience. PMP, Lean, or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end program execution - Lead end-to-end program execution from quote handoff through production and delivery.
  • Develop and manage program plans - Develop and manage program schedules, milestones, resources, and budgets.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams - Coordinate cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Sales.
  • Serve as primary customer contact - Serve as the primary customer contact for program status, risks, and deliverables.
  • Identify and mitigate program risks - Identify program risks, develop mitigation plans, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Facilitate program reviews - Facilitate regular program reviews and internal status meetings.
  • Ensure quality and compliance - Ensure adherence to customer specifications, quality standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement - Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, cost, and delivery performance.
  • Maintain program documentation - Maintain detailed program documentation, including timelines, change requests, and post-program reviews.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of program or project management experience in a manufacturing or technical environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, short-lead-time environment
  • Proficiency with project management tools and reporting systems
  • Experience in metal fabrication, stamping, welding, or precision manufacturing preferred
  • Aerospace and defense manufacturing experience preferred
  • PMP, Lean, or Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Strong customer-facing experience preferred
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Full-time, on-site position with regular interaction with shop floor operations
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
