Description & Requirements
The Technical Program Manager is responsible for the overall program delivery of the Harman Infotainment Systems specific to an individual customer. The Program Manager will be the primary customer contact regarding schedule and development issues. With their team, they will be responsible for planning and managing the end-to-end program. This includes not only planning the product development and testing but the ramp-up and readiness of the manufacturing plants. They will maintain a customer relationship and have overall ownership of the schedule, scope, and budget for all the customers' infotainment programs.

This position does not have any direct reports.
What You Will Do
Deliver next-generation Infotainment system to the customer
Build and manage customer relationships at a release engineer and director/manager level
Build and maintain a customer interface team to support this relationship and manage the overall program development.
Ensure the overall success and profitability of the product launch (i. e. work with Sales and Marketing to hit gross margins, introduce new features, etc). Own and maintain the budget, scope, and program schedule.
Manage program risk proactively, identify program risks, and coordinate meetings with the PM and multi-discipline functions to address risks before they become issues.
Support continuous improvement of project management processes and metrics to track and measure project success. (Manage all program/product delivery elements).
Provide weekly program status updates via the standard template. Represent the program internally to senior management during program, quality, and operations reviews.
Lead the program adherence to follow standard Harman processes and maintain program and customer related documentation.
Be the primary escalation point for both internal and external program communications for the responsible customer program.
Set direction and influence cross-department engagement for program execution and drive synchronization across multiple program teams.
Responsible for tracking and reporting the progress of programs to both the customer and within the company.
Responsible for communicating the customer requirements within the organization and interface with multiple groups to ensure customer's requirement expectations are being met.
What You Need
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering and 12 years of overall experience.
Must be able to articulate vision and influence decision making/outcomes with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, and the customer
Must have a "whatever-it-takes" attitude using diplomatic leadership skills within a collaborative teamwork environment to accomplish the necessary results
Proven and effective communication, analytical, judgment, initiative, and execution skills
5+ years of related experience in program management, project leadership, and/or account management
Involvement in multiple infotainment development lifecycles, including knowledge of HW/SW delivery methods and automotive development processes
Experience with managing distributed development teams is preferred
PMP certification preferred
Experience in consulting and/or client-facing role is preferred
Recent significant systems/software experience with complex development cycles that span multiple release versions is preferred.

Pay Transparency
$ 108,750 - $ 159,500
Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation are also available, such as bonuses or commission.
Pay is based on a wide range of factors, including, without limitation, skill set, experience, training, location, and business need. While the above range is a reasonable estimate of the wage range for this position, please note the disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographical differential associated with the location where the position may be filled.
