Description
We are looking for a Global Insurance Manager to lead and develop the company's insurance strategy across multiple markets and insurance lines, including Rides Insurance, liability, accident, medical expenses, cyber, property, D&O, and other business-critical coverages.
This role will be responsible for managing global and local insurance programs, leading negotiations with insurers, brokers, and TPAs, improving claims management processes, ensuring regulatory compliance, and partnering closely with Procurement, Legal, Finance, Compliance, GR, and business teams.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in corporate insurance or insurance brokerage, solid knowledge of international insurance markets, strong negotiation and analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced global environment with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the companys global insurance strategy (including Rides (Moto, Auto), Liability, Accident, Medical Expenses, Cyber, Property, DO, and other lines as needed).
  • Placing multi class programs of insurance for business needs, ensuring the adequacy and appropriateness of cover and checking the accuracy of policy documentation.
  • Lead negotiations with global and local insurers and brokers to optimize coverage, terms, and cost.
  • Monitor and manage the renewal process for all insurance policies across regions and in Global level.
  • Build improve claims management process (including TPA coordination) to ensure timely report and accurate resolution.
  • Partner with Procurement, Legal, Finance, and Compliance to assess risk exposure and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Lead in obtaining new and renewal quotations, and developing and maintaining strong insurer relationships.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to management team on insurance coverage, claims, risks, and costs.
  • Ensure compliance with insurance related regulations in all countries of operation.
  • Manage insurance related audits and due diligence processes.
  • Develop internal awareness and training on insurance policies, claims, and procedures.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes in the insurance industry and work with GR and legal teams to ensure the company`s practices are aligned.
  • Provide regular monthly reports to insurance companies showing the number of trips and updates on any claims.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Degree in Finance, Risk Management, Law, Business Administration, or related field (Masters preferred).
  • 7 years of experience in corporate insurance, insurance broker, risk management, or related fields, preferably in a multinational company.
  • Strong knowledge of global insurance markets (Rides, PC, Liability, DO, Accident/Health, Cyber, etc).
  • Proven experience in managing relationships with brokers, insurers, and TPAs.
  • Solid understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to drive cost efficiencies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills (experience working with C level executives is a plus).
  • Fluent English,Portuguese, Spanish (other languages are a plus).
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, international, and cross functional environment.
