Position Overview
This is an excellent opportunity to support a sophisticated school district practice within a dynamic, team-oriented environment. The Legal Assistant will play a critical role in supporting attorneys through a combination of legal, administrative, and case management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Legal and Administrative Support
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, including calendar management, travel coordination, expense reporting, and meeting logistics.
  • Draft, format, proofread, and finalize correspondence, pleadings, court forms, and other legal documents; prepare basic correspondence, presentations, and other time-sensitive, other legal documents with a high degree of accuracy.

Billing, Intake, and Compliance
  • Support the monthly billing process, including time entry review and invoice coordination
  • Open new matters in the billing system and conduct initial conflicts checks
  • Assist with CLE tracking and reporting and maintain attorney bar memberships across jurisdictions

File and Information Management
  • Maintain and organize paper and electronic filing systems
  • Classify and manage records to ensure accessibility and compliance with firm standards

Practice Support
  • Conduct basic research and provide general support to attorneys as needed
  • Assist in maintaining efficient workflows and meeting critical deadlines

Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a litigation legal assistant, school districts, or administrative process experience preferred.
  • High level of proficiency with Word, Outlook and Adobe; experience with Zoom, Excel and PowerPoint a plus.
  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
  • Able to work cooperatively as part of a team, as well as independently.
  • Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and willing to learn new technology as needed.

Salary Range and Other Compensation
$70,000 - $100,000 annually. Pay is determined based on a variety of factors including qualifications and depth of experience in the practice area. Additional compensation may include annual performance-based bonuses.

Schedule
