About the role:

Avery Dennison is seeking an Inside Sales Supervisor to support our Performance Tapes business in Painesville, OH. In this role, you will be a working manager of a team of inside sales representatives who make telephonic inbound/outbound sales, with the objective of generating revenue and/or profit margin in small- to mid-size accounts, occasionally through travel. The Inside Sales Supervisor provides direction on customers, segments, products, commercial strategies, and key sales initiatives to drive profitable growth, ensuring teams deliver on their sales quotas and meet department goals.

Key Responsibilities:

This is a hybrid position located at our facility in Painesville, OH. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Developing and driving the inside sales strategy within the sales organization and conducting assessments of customer needs within the assigned region or area.

  • Establishing customer pricing within published guidelines, participating in territory planning, and utilizing Salesforce.com to manage existing and new opportunity pipelines.

  • Proactively identifying new accounts using screening techniques, referrals, and prospecting to potential customers within the territory.

  • Providing product recommendations, samples, technical support, and product quotes while actively uncovering customer needs utilizing value-selling tools.

  • Performing general management duties, exercising authority concerning staff performance appraisals, promotions, training, and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 5+ years of commercial experience in sales (inside or field), key account management, product management, or marketing.

  • Strong sales, prospecting, cross-functional teamwork, and customer relations skills with an ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and telephone communication skills with a knack for developing and fostering positive relationships.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% occasionally with Field Sales staff, trade shows, and sales meetings.

Additional Information

The salary range for this position is $73,200 - $109,312 / year.
The hiring base salary range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range, and in some circumstances may be above or below the range, based on various factors including but not limited to a candidate's relevant skills, experience, education and training, and location, as well as the job scope and complexity, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position, which may change depending on the candidate pool.
