Job description

NABRICO Marine Products is seeking a Payroll & HRIS Manager to join our team at a pivotal point in our company’s growth. This is a unique opportunity to come in at the ground level and help build, shape, and scale our HR systems and payroll operations as we establish our future state organization.

This role will lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of our payroll & HRIS processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the business. The position reports directly to the VP of Human Resources and will serve as a key partner in building a best-in-class HR infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end to end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payroll execution for all employees
  • Oversee HRIS strategy, implementation, and ongoing optimization
  • Partner with HR and Finance to ensure seamless integration of systems, processes, and reporting
  • Establish and maintain payroll controls, audits, and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
  • Serve as the primary administrator for HRIS platforms, including system configuration, data integrity, and reporting
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for payroll and HRIS processes
  • Support benefits administration, deductions, and related system integrations
  • Provide reporting and analytics to support business and leadership decision-making
  • Assist in vendor management and evaluation of HR technology solutions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and user experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of payroll management experience required
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS systems; ADP experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Experience supporting multi-site or manufacturing environments preferred
  • Proven ability to build processes and systems in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
