Job description

Printpack is seeking an Information Systems Manager or an Information Systems Analyst to join our Information Systems team. The level at which the successful candidate is hired will be determined based on their qualifications, experience, and demonstrated technical and project leadership capabilities.
This position qualifies for 100% remote work; however, candidates must be located in the Atlanta, Georgia area and within driving distance of the Corporate Office to support periodic onsite meetings, collaboration, and business needs.
This position serves as a hybrid functional and technical resource, supporting business systems, enterprise applications, and software development initiatives. The role participates in and/or leads activities throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for small to medium-sized projects, with a primary focus on Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE E1) ERP implementations, enhancements, integrations, and ongoing support.
The Information Systems Manager and Information Systems Analyst are globally focused positions responsible for evaluating, recommending, implementing, and supporting improvements across various JD Edwards (JDE) modules to optimize business processes, enhance system functionality, and improve the overall user experience. This role also develops and delivers end-user training and support programs to drive system adoption, increase user proficiency, and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities - The Information Systems Manager or Information Systems Analyst positions' requirements include (but are not limited to) the following:
  • Collaborate directly with business partners to identify and define project requirements, while effectively engaging IT partners to translate those requirements into viable technical solutions.
  • Provide strategic leadership in the functional design, implementation, and ongoing support of JD Edwards (JDE)-based solutions, ensuring they comprehensively address business requirements and fully align with Printpack's established standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including functional and technical specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact, providing end-to-end functional and technical support for JD Edwards (JDE) Manufacturing and its associated procurement and inventory modules, ensuring uninterrupted business continuity and sustained operational performance.
  • Provide strategic guidance, mentorship, and subject matter expertise to Support Analysts in the effective identification and resolution of highly complex technical and functional issues.
  • Effectively triage, manage, and resolve JD Edwards (JDE) Tier 1 and Tier 2 application support requests logged through the FreshService Ticketing System, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to established service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Proactively monitor and evaluate new software releases, support packs, and kernel upgrades, assessing their potential impact on existing applications and the end-user community to ensure system stability and operational continuity.
  • Maintain a current and comprehensive understanding of industry trends, emerging best practices, and the latest Oracle JD Edwards (JDE) updates and innovations, ensuring the organization strategically leverages cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate targeted training sessions and proactively transfer knowledge to team members, empowering them with the skills and expertise necessary to perform their roles effectively and drive team capability.

Candidates hired at the Information Systems Manager level will generally possess demonstrated experience leading projects, driving system improvements, and providing strategic direction for complex business and technology initiatives.
Candidates hired at the Information Systems Analyst level will typically have experience in systems analysis, application support, and business process improvement, with opportunities for increased responsibility and career growth.
Education:
  • Four (4) year college degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred.
  • PMP (PMI) certification preferred

Experience:
  • Candidate must possess substantial years of experience and a working knowledge of a minimum of one JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE E1) module; however, proficiency in multiple modules is strongly preferred.
  • Candidate must possess substantial experience working in the technical support field, preferably within a manufacturing environment

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Functional Expertise - Expert-level knowledge in at least one JDE E1 module (Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Demand to Available, Quality Management, Shop Floor Control, Capital Asset Management, or Warehouse Management
  • SQL Development & Database Programming - Proficiency ranging from basic queries to advanced database programming, stored procedures, and query optimization
  • Project Management & SDLC - The ability to lead small to medium-scale projects through complete Software Development Life Cycle using structured methodologies
  • Agile Development Methodology - Understanding and application of Agile development practices for iterative project delivery and continuous improvement
  • Report writing - Experience creating, maintaining, and enhancing business reports and analytics dashboards
  • Business Requirements Analysis - Skills in gathering, documenting, and translating business requirements into technical solution
  • Stakeholder Communication & Management - The ability to maintain proactive communication with project stakeholders and facilitate cross-functional collaboration
  • End-User Training Development & Delivery - The capability to assess training needs, develop comprehensive education programs, and deliver effective user training

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & TRAVEL:
Travel Requirements: Travel as required, approximately 10% travel per year
The associate will usually work in an office environment and will need to possess:
