Building Location:6th Ave BuildingDepartment:1019984 RESEARCH INFORMATICS - EIRHJob Description:The Research Informatics Analyst II provides research informatics support to the Essentia Institute of Rural Health (EIRH), working with Research Scientists, Principal Investigators, and clinicians to deliver data for research studies. Assists in the development and use of research data resources, producing accurate and timely datasets and reports to support a variety of research initiatives. Collaborates with team members and stakeholders to understand data needs, supports data integration efforts, and follows established best practices in data management and analysis. Works both independently and as part of a team to contribute to ongoing research informatics efforts.Education Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise and support in research informatics to enable data analysis, integration, and interpretation for EIRH
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of research data systems supporting multiple data models and diverse data sources
  • Develop research datasets, reports, and analytic deliverables to ensure timely access to accurate information
  • Assist in planning and implementing data extraction processes, data structures, and data quality checks
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand project data needs
  • Support the integration of new data sources into research environments
  • Apply best practices in data management, governance, and analytics
  • Work independently and collaboratively while demonstrating strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in computer programming, systems analysis, or a related role, including experience writing SQL queries in a research or analytical environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Epic data (e.g., Clarity, Caboodle, Chronicles) including Reporting Workbench and SlicerDicer
  • Experience in Python or R
  • Experience in a Research Environment
  • Experience in REDCap Administration
  • Experience with a Clinical Trials Management System
