What You Will Do

Our consultants on the Defense & Security AI & Data team help clients maximize the value of their data and automate business processes. This high performing team works with clients to implement the full spectrum of data analytics and data science, from data querying and wrangling to data engineering, to data visualization, dashboarding, and business intelligence (BI), to predictive analytics. Our services enable our clients to define their information strategy, enable mission critical insights and data-driven decision making, reduce cost and complexity, increase trust, and improve budget justifications and decision-making. This individual will support organizational and mission goals within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) intersecting Health Programs. This role requires handsโ€‘on technical expertise and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Extract performance improvement and data quality indicators dataset to assist leadership to assess achievement of strategic goals.
  • Analyze data and trends of patient population and conversion into actionable information.
  • Use analytics to compile and trend patient population health status, costs and quality of care.
  • Data extraction, categorization, mining, simulation, optimization and presentation.
  • Development of solutions to extract, collect and store data sets and metadata.
  • Utilize data analytic software and tools to process and manipulate large datasets and metadata, such as Tableau, SAS, WPS, SPAA, Advance Excel functionality and similar software.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in standard languages such as SQL and Visual Basic to retrieve data and interface with other systems.
  • Import data into other software to analyze exploratory graphical and data analysis and correlations among variables. Provides professionally designed reports to support leadership and management insight, strategic planning and decision making.
  • Prepare and validate data for file transfer protocol and transmission.
  • Utilize Access Database and Excel to import data for manipulation and analysis.
  • Manage multiple, complex projects.
  • Coordinate projects from the concept stage to completion.
What You Will Need
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
  • Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
  • Master's degree in Data Analytics, Information Governance, Information Management, Informatics, Health Information Technology or STEM Field.
  • FIVE (5) or more years of experience working within a health data analytic, information governance, information management or informatics role with similar duties.
  • Ability to work effectively in a client-facing environment and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong foundational knowledge in information systems in healthcare.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across varied assignments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Health Level Seven framework and standards for data.
  • Active DHS Public Trust.
  • Experience with Databricks.
  • Experience with automation tools such as PowerApps and UiPath.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability for oral and written communication with senior levels of management and the Customer.
