Summary
The Digital Implementation Lead owns the planning, delivery, and adoption of new digital systems and AI enabled solutions across the company, ensuring projects are on time, on budget, and delivering measurable business value in operations, fabrication, field services, and back office functions.
Key responsibilities
  • Lead end to end implementation of new systems (ERP modules, best of breed apps, AI tools, automation platforms) from requirements through go live and stabilization.
  • Manage vendor relationships, SOWs, and implementation partners; ensure vendors meet contractual obligations, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Work with leadership and department heads (operations, fabrication, field, finance, sales) to define project scope, success metrics, and realistic rollout plans.
  • Build and run detailed project plans, coordinate cross functional project teams, and proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate data readiness and integrations with existing systems such as ERP and CRM, partnering closely with internal IT/analytics resources.
  • Drive AI and automation use cases (e.g., copilots, RPA, decision support dashboards) from concept through pilot and scale up, with a focus on real productivity gains.
  • Oversee user acceptance testing, cutover planning, and post go live support to ensure stable operations and minimal disruption.
  • Develop training plans, documentation, and communication to support adoption and behavior change across shop, office, and field teams.
  • Track and report on project status, budget, and benefits realization to executives, highlighting ROI and lessons learned.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement in how systems are used, identifying enhancement opportunities and feeding them into a structured roadmap.

Qualifications
  • 5 to 8+ years of experience leading software implementations or digital transformation projects, ideally in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple site or enterprise scale implementations with third party vendors or system integrators.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, planning/scheduling, document management) and how they support operations and finance.
  • Hands on experience with AI enabled or automation solutions (RPA, copilots, predictive analytics, or similar), with comfort evaluating and piloting new tools.
  • Solid project management skill set (planning, RAID logs, stakeholder management); formal methodologies (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Hybrid) are a plus.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements and to explain technical trade offs to non technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and change management skills, with a track record of driving adoption and behavior change.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
Ability to work in an office environment using a computer and standard office equipment; communicate effectively in person, by phone, and via video; sit for extended periods with occasional standing, walking, and travel as needed; analyze complex information, exercise independent judgment, manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, and adapt effectively to changing business needs.
