Independent Living Specialist 

Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a variety of different programs throughout Arizona. CBI provides residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services to individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness.

CBI is the premiere non-profit fully integrated healthcare provider of substance use and behavioral health programs in Arizona, including prevention, education and treatment using cutting-edge, nationally recognized, evidence-based models.

Job Summary 

The F/ACT Independent Living Specialists work with SMI clients in their homes or in the field to develop independent living skills. Independent living skills include, but are not limited to, food shopping, learning bus routes, cleaning home, proper hygiene, maintaining relationships with supportive family and developing community-based supports. This position is expected to be in the field at least 80% of the time working with clients assisting them develop skills that will assist in sustaining ongoing recovery. This position will also provide after hour, and on-call supports. 

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Highschool Diploma or GED required.  Associate's degree or higher in a field related to behavioral health preferred.   
  • 1 or more years of clerical and/or administrative experience is preferred. 
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
