Job summary:ย 

Assemble wood components from engineering drawings, utilizing a variety of different tools, and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Routing and building wood component parts
  • Understand and carry out verbal and written directions in English
  • Close attention to detail
  • Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled.
  • Assist in training cabinet makers at all skill levels.
  • Meet minimum safety and 5S standards.
  • Meet all QA and QC standards for each task.
  • Be compliant with all the rules of conduct and attendance per the company handbook.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment):

  • 2 years or more experience required
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40#'s without assistance.
  • Ability to stand at a workstation for multiple hours a day (minus specified breaks.)
  • Ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layout and other written or verbal instructions presented in English.
  • Ability to read and use linear and other measuring devices.
  • Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
  • Fundamental use of various pneumatic and power tools.
  • Ability to laminate cabinets & panels as needed.
  • Familiar with the safe operation of various tools: including but not limited to drills, screw gun, table saw, band saw and routers.
  • Ability to use basic mathematics.
  • Must have general knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards.
