Overview:
We are looking for a Lead Automotive Design Consultant to drive the adoption and strategic impact of Gravity Sketch across our most important automotive and industrial design customers. This is a senior individual contributor role, where you will lead by expertise and example, owning complex customer engagements, shaping how Gravity Sketch is embedded into design workflows, and setting the standard for consulting excellence across the team. You will partner closely with Customer Success, Sales, and Product to influence how leading clients adopt VR in their design processes. This role combines deep hands-on delivery, strategic account ownership, and internal influence.
This role is crucial to achieving our vision of disrupting the design process positively, and you will be part of an established team that is delivering this across multiple high-profile clients in a range of verticals.
Responsibilities:
Drive best practice and influence
  • Set the benchmark for how Gravity Sketch is applied within automotive design workflows, staying at the forefront of developments across 3D, VR, and AI to deliver innovative, customer-focused solutions and workflows. You should be energized by advancing new ways of working and not satisfied with the status quo.
  • Develop and share best practices, reusable frameworks, and new workflow approaches to drive scalable success within the team.
  • Influence how the wider Design Consulting team approaches delivery through your work and expertise.

Deliver Advanced Consulting
  • Lead complex onboarding programs, advanced workshops, and cross-functional training sessions that unlock concrete value for the client.
  • Work across design, engineering, and leadership teams to embed new ways of working.
  • Tailor your delivery to a wide range of audiences, from hands-on designers to senior stakeholders.
Partner Cross-Functionally
  • Work closely with the Customer Success manager to align on account strategy and rollout plans.
  • Collaborate with Sales on late-stage opportunities and strategic demos.
  • Provide structured feedback to Product based on real customer workflows and challenges.

Own customer engagements:
  • Drive user engagement, planning and delivering demos, training, pilots and project support across multiple audiences.
  • Take ownership of creating scalable training content that inspire a range of cross functional users across design, engineering, CMF and other business functions to use the tool in their workflows.
  • As the lead, you will partner closely with the Customer Success team to align on strategic rollouts and partner with leadership to own quarterly planning across the account.
Measure & Communicate Impact
  • Define and meticulously track success metrics across engagements, building compelling narratives around adoption, workflow transformation, and ROI, clearly communicating these outcomes internally and externally.
  • Monitor and allocate the resources needed to support our customers depending on where they are in their journey.

Requirements:
  • Willing to travel quarterly at manager's discretion for onsite delivery.
  • 5+ years of experience working with software in automotive design.
    • Adobe Suite, Gravity Sketch and other 3D, AI and CAD Programs (Eg. Rhino, Alias, Catia, Modo, KeyShot, Blender, Vizcom not all are necessary)
  • Advanced knowledge of using Gravity Sketch in the automotive design process. Knowledge of the design process in industrial design or engineering is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of automotive design workflows (concept → Class-A surfacing → visualization)
  • Organization: Excellent structure and organization, with strong attention to detail and strong teaming skills are essential.
  • Highly self-directed; able to operate autonomously and lead engagements without close supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-impact projects.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid, globally distributed team.
  • Passion and curiosity: Avid interest in VR, design, and understanding how different products are made; curious personality who enjoys digging deep to understand and solve problems.
  • Grit: Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and hungry for success; not afraid to roll up sleeves and help out wherever needed.
  • People-oriented: Excellent communicator-both written and verbal in English; great listening and relationship-building skills; ability to adjust communication styles to varying personality types.

(We recognise this is a rare combination-candidates with strong automotive experience and adjacent VR/tool experience are encouraged to apply.)
