Job Description
The Engineering Support Technician works independently throughout the manufacturing plants to analyze, modify, and build machines, tools, fixtures, jigs, templates, and guards. This role collaborates with other technicians, tool room personnel, engineers, department managers, and operators during the analysis and implementation phases of various projects.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate flexibility in work hours, including overtime as needed.
  • Analyze, modify, and build machines, tools, fixtures, jigs, templates, and guards.
  • Analyze and implement engineering projects.
  • Troubleshoot engineering and maintenance issues.
  • Maintain a valid powered industrial vehicle (PIV) license if applicable.
  • Lead project teams and participate in process improvement workshops.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in work hours, including overtime as needed.
  • Comply with all safety, quality, and production requirements and procedures.
  • Rotate to other positions as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Strong computer, mechanical and math aptitude.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Problem-solving, adaptability, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate respectfully in a team setting.
  • Lift up to 100 lbs. at waist level and up to 70 lbs. at shoulder level occasionally.
  • Push or pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
  • Generate up to 100 lbs. of grip strength and 20 lbs. of pinch strength occasionally.
  • Perform repetitive tasks for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Stand continuously and walk frequently during shifts.
  • Stoop, kneel, squat, and reach forward or sideways as needed.
  • Perform occasional elevated work when handling products.
  • Display average coordination with both hands continuously.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Training experience preferred.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
  • Training timeline for this position is up to 12 weeks or more.
