Work Schedule:
  • Night position: 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.
  • Four 10-hour shifts across the week.
  • Rotating weekends and holiday coverage.
  • NO on-call or travel!
  • Secured parking available on-site for overnight and weekend shifts!

The Imaging Services Tech Assistant will support our CT Technologists and other departmental staff with daily activities, technical procedures, and critical patient care needs to keep patient flow moving efficiently!

Responsibilities:
  • Transports patients to and from unit when required.
  • Demonstrates proper placement of IV catheter.
  • Assists with invasive procedure tray set-up and couriers specimens to lab, as needed.
  • Practices established safety and radiation safety protocols.
  • Accurately schedules and reschedules exams, as needed.
  • Contacts patients for additional scanning when appropriate.
  • Assists technologist with patient care/flow as instructed.
  • Verifies patient identity by utilizing at least two patient identifiers.
  • Effectively prepares patients for exams, providing both pre- and post-procedure education.
  • Documents proper history into electronic record.
  • Reviews physician orders and contacts office if additional information is required.

Qualifications:
  • Completion of High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous clerical and computer experience required.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Previous hospital experience preferred.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
    • CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
  • Act 33 with renewal
  • Act 34 with renewal
  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
