Job description

We pride ourselves on our "White Glove" service model by delivering the best patient experience possible.

Shared Imaging is currently looking to hire a PRN Imaging Technologist Aide for our mobile unit in Roanoke, VA.

Work Schedule:

  • PRN, as needed
  • 8-hour shift coverage
  • Monday thru Friday needs, no weekends
  • Site: Carilion Medical Building (2001 Crystal Spring Avenue, Roanoke, VA 24014)

The ideal candidate must possess:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • CPR/BLS Certification (via American Heart Association) required
  • Certified Medical Assistant preferred
  • Medical terminology, anatomy and physiology understanding preferred
  • Patient care experience strongly preferred
  • Self-starter with the ability to multi-task
  • Hard working, detail-oriented, and committed to outstanding patient care
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Travel may be required, travel allowance is offered

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting and directing patients
  • Confirming and registering patients
  • Verifying all necessary information is available for the test

  • Assist patients in and out of the trailer
  • Ability to push wheelchairs, gurneys and stretchers
  • Assist technologist with positioning patient and assisting them on and off the scanning table
  • Assist in setting up MRI scanning rooms
  • Stocking and maintaining patient dressing rooms, scan rooms and control areas
  • Ordering supplies
  • Other responsibilities as directed
