Job description

Position Summary:
Responsible for daily administrative tasks to support the Claims Department. Functions include answering phones, scanning to (IMAGERIGHT) system, faxing, opening and sorting mail, and various miscellaneous support tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Answer phones, route calls and take messages.
  • Prepare and mail correspondence. (Overnight, regular, and certified)
  • Use ImageRight, WINS and various Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word & Excel).
  • Process and review invoices
  • Open, prep, sort, and scan mail into IMAGERIGHT.
  • FNOL claim setup and related workflow process including confirming coverage, new incident / claim setup, ISO claim entry, lawsuit setup, sending broker acknowledgements, and assigning tasks to examiners.
  • Utilize the MCS portal to submit HIPAA authorizations for medical records, cancel requests, and import records received into the ImagRight file.
  • Process Summons & Complaints
  • Redact policies in ImageRight
  • Share GNY's files with third parties via OneDrive
  • Set Up Independent Medical Exams
  • Back up main switchboard as needed.
  • Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.

Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years administrative experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 required.
  • Experience with ImageRight and WINS a plus.
Skills:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • Capable of prioritizing various tasks and complete assignments with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to think creatively and develop strategies to solve claim issues.

The salary range for this role is $32,300 - $65,700. The listed annual salary range posted for this position is subject to change and may vary depending on performance, education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, demonstrated proficiency in the competencies required for the role and business needs. Base pay is just one component of GNY's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.
