GENERAL FUNCTION:
Responsible for monitoring highly technical production functions related to Electronic Deposit and the processing of high value ECL and Image Exchange files. Ensures timely and successful transmission of incoming and outgoing image cash letters. Maintains communications with senior level Item Processing Operations Management through verbal and written reports.
Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinate the execution of all image related functions including monitoring inbound high value check files; processing and keying functions related to image exchange files; ensuring timely completion of all image activity within established Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Responsible for management reporting (departmental KPIs), metrics, and dashboard creation/distribution.
  • Execute completion of highly technical system and production end of day functions including server shutdowns, completion of end of day checklists, and system maintenance functions
  • Monitor and execute highly technical systemic and manual controls to minimize risk related to image processing.
  • Coordinate execution of all outbound high value image cash letter activity with the SVPCo, Endpoint Exchange, Viewpointe, Federal Reserve and Direct Connect customers while working with IT to resolve complex transmission issues that may arise.
  • Ensure all Settlement activity with Check Exchange partners (SVPCo, Endpoint Exchange, Viewpointe, Federal Reserve) is reconciled and in balance
  • Responsible for executing daily Final Release posting for all check activity within Bancorp.
  • Troubleshoot all system and production issues/delays. Resolve appropriate incidents internally and escalate high-level issues and facilitate resolution engaging multiple technology resources.
  • Advise of process improvements, documentation enhancements, and system control improvements to enhance processing capabilities and minimize risk.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for external customer contacts, facilitating customer issue resolution, and daily production issues.
  • Communicates complex and highly technical issues to senior management and technical resources.
  • Works with Manager in recommending/implementing cost efficiencies.
  • Maintains daily/monthly reporting of all Image Processing activity.
  • Provide requested information to department Manager regarding Audits and Self Assessments.
  • Assist with the testing, and implementation of new applications, enhancements and/or conversions
  • Assists Manager in updating of departmental procedures by reviewing and providing edits to support the current processes with a focus on risk mitigation and business controls.
  • Assists with Item Processing production related activities as needed.
  • Any other duties or projects as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of banking operations experience
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
  • Self-motivated
  • Must demonstrate strong analytical, logical reasoning skills for problem solving, and decisive decision-making skills
  • Work requires continual attention to detail in establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of systems within Operations
  • Strong organizational skills, and ability to multitask
  • Knowledge and experience with mainframe and server-based production applications.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and troubleshoot production related issues.
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft desktop applications. (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access).
