Job description

TeleSecurity Sciences (TSS) develops solutions for security imaging systems ranging from image reconstruction algorithms to automatic target/threat recognition in collaboration with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the Transportation Security Laboratory (TSL) and major suppliers of security scanners. TSS is located in the Las Vegas area, approximately 15 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. The company offers relocation reimbursement, and local candidates are encouraged to apply.

1. C++ Application Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated C++ Application Engineer to join our team. As a C++ Application Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and optimizing software applications using C++ and Python. Your expertise will be essential in creating high-performance, reliable, and efficient applications. If you are a passionate C++ application engineer with a strong foundation in C++, we encourage you to apply and be part of our innovative and forward-thinking team.

Key Responsibilities

C++ Application Development: Develop and maintain C++ software applications, ensuring code quality, performance, and scalability.

Code Optimization: Identify and implement code optimizations to enhance application performance and resource utilization.

2. Image Processing Scientist/Engineer

Job Description

The job involves the development of advanced imaging and image processing/recognition algorithms. The ability to analyze the imaging system in detail for the selection/development of appropriate algorithms will be highly valued. The successful applicant will be assigned to any one of the following tasks: (1) detection of liquids in bags using dual-energy X-ray data from multiple views, (2) recognition of certain objects (e.g., threats) in cluttered images, including X-ray projection and CT multi-slice images, (3) development of advanced 3-D volume rendering and visualization workstations, (4) assist in the development of related grants and proposals and (5) present/publish papers in conferences and journals. The software will be developed in a combination of C++, C# and Matlab. The position will report to the CTO.

Qualifications

The applicant will have a recent degree in engineering, physics, or math, preferably a Ph.D. (B.S./M.S also acceptable). The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in one or more of the following areas: (1) application programming, (2) statistical image/signal processing, and (3) X-ray and CT physics.

3. Product/Marketing Manager

Job Description

The product/marketing manager will be responsible for developing specifications and marketing materials for TSS product line. Must communicate with industry representatives and government officials. The manager will oversee the introduction of products into security industry, both domestic and international, through exhibits and various contacts. The manager will also be responsible for overseeing our current ongoing government programs, working closely with the principal investigator. The successful manager will develop new business opportunities, by nurturing existing contacts and also by developing new contacts as necessary. This position is a great opportunity for self-starters with technical and marketing savvy with five to ten years of relevant experience. This position will report to the CEO. Applicants with appropriate experiences will be offered a vice president position.

Qualifications

The applicant will be a college graduate with some experience in product management and business development for high tech products. Experience or knowledge of the airport security field will be a plus, but not required. Experience with medical imaging would be especially valuable. The applicant must have knowledge of technical product marketing, and be comfortable with computer software and hardware.

Job Description

The job involves the design and development of advanced X-ray imaging systems. The applicant must be knowledgeable in accelerator physics, quantum theory of radiation (e.g., Compton scatter, photoelectric effect, and pair production), and detector technologies. The successful applicant will be assigned to any one or more of the following tasks: (1) work with our senior physicist to design and develop electron beam steering software, (2) Monte-Carlo simulation (e.g., using Geant4) to verify our in-house developed scatter correction algorithm, (3) design of plastic scintillating detector (doping material, thickness, etc.), (4) assist in the development of related grants and proposals and (5) present/publish papers in conferences and journals. This position will report to the CTO.

Qualifications

The applicant will have a recent degree in physics, nuclear engineering or electrical engineering. This is an ideal position for a recent Ph.D. graduate with excellent scientific programming skills.
