Job description

Job Title: Ignition SCADA Developer
Job Location: North Carolina
Job Type: Contract

Job Description:

·       Serve as the technical authority and hands-on developer for automation and MES solutions using Ignition.

·       Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.

·       Translate requirements into functional designs, including Ignition screens, scripts, and integration logic.

·       Design, develop, and deploy Ignition projects leveraging Gateway Designer, Perspective, and Vision modules.

·       Develop and optimize Perspective HMI dashboards, alarms, reporting workflows, and data pipelines.

·       Configure Tag Providers, Transaction Groups, Tag Historian, and establish MQTT connectivity.

·       Integrate Ignition with PLCs, OPC UA servers, SQL databases, and external ERP/MES systems.

·       Lead and participate in solution architecture reviews, scalability planning, and performance optimization.

·       Maintain best practices, coding standards, version control, and comprehensive documentation.

10. Mentor and support junior developers through technical reviews and on-the-job training.

11. Collaborate effectively with business users, plant engineers, and IT/OT teams.

12. Ensure compliance with ISA-95, cybersecurity, and organizational standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

·       10–15 years of experience in industrial automation, SCADA, MES, or IIoT projects.

·       Strong hands-on expertise developing solutions with Ignition v8.
