What You'll Do

  • Develop, test and implement new projects on-time and on budget within the Ignition development platform.
  • Ensure the design and development of technology solutions properly fulfill all business requirements
  • Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues
  • Design, update and interface with various database engines
  • Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization
  • Work with experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code and/or perform unit testing
  • Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability and performance
  • Resolve complex technical design issues
  • Development of technical specifications and plans
  • Make good technical decisions that provide solutions to business challenges
  • Provide comprehensive support to internal customers; achieve resolution to outstanding problems or issues
  • Compile timely, comprehensive and accurate documentation and or reports as requested
  • Possess up-to-date knowledge of technological developments in the industry
  • Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers

What You’ll Bring

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in programming or related field, or Associate degree in programming with minimum 3+ years of relevant experience, or minimum 5 years related experience.
  • Ignition software experience preferred. Preferably extensive hands-on experience with gateway scripts, templates, UDT standardization. Perspective knowledge is a plus.
  • Proficient with MS SQL (advanced SQL knowledge is preferred)
  • Proficient in Python.
  • Knowledge and experience of ethernet networking and protocols
  • Ability to comprehend and implement detailed project specifications as well as the ability to adapt to various technologies and simultaneously work on multiple projects
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
  • Attention to details and data accuracy
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Java desired.
  • Strong background in data modeling and database design concepts desired.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Continuous Integration and Test Driven Development is a plus
  • Mobile application development experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of GIT repository management is a plus.
