A growing healthcare organization is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support day-to-day people operations, including recruiting, onboarding, HRIS/ATS administration, benefits coordination, reporting, compliance, and employee engagement.

This role is ideal for someone who is organized, professional, comfortable working with confidential information, and interested in growing within the human resources field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Post job openings and coordinate interviews with candidates and hiring managers
  • Support onboarding by launching tasks, tracking completion, and maintaining accurate new-hire files
  • Serve as a primary administrator for Paylocity and assist with HRIS/ATS updates
  • Maintain employee records, self-service portals, and HR documentation
  • Provide basic HRIS support to employees and managers
  • Assist with payroll batches, employee data changes, and record updates as needed
  • Enroll new hires in benefit plans and process qualifying life events
  • Review monthly insurance invoices and help resolve discrepancies with vendors or benefits administrators
  • Track training completions, anniversaries, assessments, key control logs, and other HR metrics
  • Build HR reports, charts, and process maps to support leadership and review cycles
  • Coordinate trainings, staff meetings, and employee events, including rooms, materials, A/V, and catering
  • Prepare and deliver quarterly HR updates and presentations
  • Support compliance with HR policies, procedures, privacy standards, and documentation requirements
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of employee records and sensitive information
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in human resources, HRIS, business administration, or a related administrative role preferred
  • Active HIPAA compliance credential / Training
  • Strong Excel, reporting, data entry, and documentation skills
  • Experience working with HRIS, ATS, or payroll platforms
  • Ability to write clear policies, procedures, reports, and employee communications
  • Strong communication, organization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining confidentiality
