About the job Human Resource Manager
Description
Attention all Human Resources Managers. Staffing Remedy is working with a growing client to hire a new Human Resources Manager. The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing personnel and daily operations of the human resources department. If you thrive in a dynamic work environment that requires the ability to balance multiple responsibilities, this may be the role for you.
Major responsibilities

  • Represent your team at interdepartmental meetings with other managers
  • Maintain historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records
  • Supervise all HR activities, communications, reports, requests and documents created and received by the team
  • Assess reports provided by the HR team, team leaders and operations managers to determine employee performance and training needs
  • Manage the organization's Microsoft human resources department by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices
  • Assist employees such that they follow all policies and procedures
  • Lead human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
  • Investigate compensation standards set by industry and governing bodies in order to create salary structures and administer employee benefits
  • Be familiar with and implement applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conduct investigations, maintain records, and represent the organization at hearings
  • Create recruitment plans, interview schedules and evaluation standards in accordance with HR methodologies and labor laws
  • Administer exit interviews and procedures
  • Build management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Knowledge of HR software and working knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to view issues with an objective lens
  • Professional in handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
  • PHR/SPHR or other relevant certifications are preferred
  • 5+ years in human resources
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience within human resources
  • Broad knowledge of HR policies, benefits administration, compensation and wage structure
  • Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or similar field
  • Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
  • Exemplary ethics, integrity, and standards
  • Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution
  • An understanding of the key principles of employment law and EEOC regulations
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
