Job description

MEM Insurance is seeking an HR Intern to join our Human Resources team and gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, people-first environment. This internship offers meaningful exposure to HR operations, systems implementation, and employee support while contributing to initiatives that directly impact our employees and business. As an individual contributor, you’ll work closely with experienced HR professionals and play a key role in supporting day-to-day HR coordination and special projects.
 
This role is ideal for someone eager to learn how Human Resources supports both employees and organizational success while working in a culture that values teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
 

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation of the Paylocity system by serving as a project coordinator, partnering closely with the Project Manager and HR team members to track tasks, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Provide administrative and coordination support for HR operations, ensuring accuracy, organization, and timely follow-through.
  • Serve as a front-line point of contact for employee and customer inquiries, delivering responsive and professional service.
  • Assist with the coordination and maintenance of employee certification programs.
  • Support employee recognition and rewards initiatives, including preparation and tracking of program updates.
  • Assist with management updates and internal communications, including WHAM publishing and related content support.
  • Collaborate with team members to support ongoing HR initiatives and special projects as assigned.

 Internship Experience and Development
  • Receive shared training and mentorship from experienced HR professionals, including direct support from team members.
  • Gain exposure to HR systems, employee programs, and real-world HR operations within an insurance organization.
  • Participate in a two-way performance review at the conclusion of the internship to reflect on accomplishments, learning outcomes, and overall experience.
