Job description

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Generalist to support essential people operations for a manufacturing organization in Huntsville, Alabama. This Long-term Contract position combines employee support with payroll coordination, requiring someone who can manage sensitive information, maintain accurate records, and help keep HR processes running smoothly. The role offers the opportunity to contribute across onboarding, benefits, compliance, employee relations, and reporting while partnering with internal teams to ensure reliable day-to-day execution.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Oversee routine human resources activities, ensuring policies, procedures, and employee support practices are carried out consistently and effectively.
โ€ข Coordinate the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding for permanent employees, orientation activities, and separation-related documentation and processes.
โ€ข Prepare and process payroll on schedule by reviewing time records, deductions, tax-related details, and benefit withholdings for accuracy.
โ€ข Maintain payroll documentation and work with finance personnel or external payroll partners to investigate and correct discrepancies.
โ€ข Support benefits administration by assisting with enrollments, status updates, employee questions, and related communications.
โ€ข Keep employee files and HRIS information current, accurate, and properly organized while safeguarding confidential records.
โ€ข Respond to employee relations concerns with professionalism and escalate complex matters when appropriate.
โ€ข Assist with compliance efforts by supporting adherence to employment regulations and internal company standards.
โ€ข Contribute to performance management administration, HR reporting, and documentation needed by leadership.

โ€ข Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
