HR Assistant (HR Operations Focus) – Temp to Hire
Location: Auburn, WA (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week (flexible between 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM)
Pay: $22–$27/hr DOE (Target: $25/hr | Up to $26–$27/hr for top candidates)
Employment Type: Temp to Hire (conversion within 6 months or sooner)


About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Assistant to support day-to-day HR operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is heavily focused on employee support, HR administration, and compliance, rather than recruiting.

You will serve as a key point of contact for employees and leadership while ensuring accurate recordkeeping, smooth onboarding processes, and adherence to company policies and employment regulations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employee questions and support

  • Manage front desk responsibilities, including greeting visitors and assisting employees

  • Coordinate onboarding activities, including background checks, drug screens, and new hire paperwork

  • Prepare, maintain, and audit personnel files and HR documentation

  • Accurately update HR systems, databases, and tracking spreadsheets

  • Support HR reporting and track key metrics

  • Assist with HR projects, employee engagement activities, and internal events

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee information

  • Support general HR operations and administrative functions as needed


What We’re Looking For
  • 2+ years of HR support or office administration experience (HR-focused preferred)

  • Strong experience with HR operations (onboarding, employee records, compliance, documentation)

  • Comfortable working in a front-facing HR role supporting employees daily

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)

  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills

  • High level of discretion and professionalism with confidential information

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual (highly preferred)

  • Experience supporting HR compliance and employment documentation

  • Project coordination or event planning experience

  • Experience working in a fast-paced or high-volume environment
