Job description

Position: Service Analyst

Location: Canton, MI

Salary: $28.85/hr

Overview:

The Service Analyst is responsible for releasing and managing the requirements and availability of materials for production of service orders, as well as maintaining inventory levels for the service parts organization. Must maintain and adhere to the IATF 16949 (management systems certification for automotive companies) requirements. This position reports directly to the Materials Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all customer requirements are met in a timely manner.
  • Manage part availability, schedule and fulfill customer orders from multiple OEM’s worldwide.
  • Pull in all service releases from customers (via EDI, supplier web sites, fax, etc.).
  • Control incoming/outgoing Service shipments.
  • Ensure DDL/SNC Maintenance for Ford Customer Service Division.
  • Achieve inventory dollars, availability, and turn objectives.
  • Have shared responsibility of picturing/packaging all service orders.
  • Perform cycle counting of all service components (i.e. inventory control).
  • Direct and assign priorities to hourly service team personnel.

Requirements

Qualifications and Abilities:

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant industry experience.
  • Releasing and forecasting experience on DDL (Ford).
  • Knowledge of MRP systems required. SAP experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of shipping/receiving protocols.
  • Detail-oriented, self-directed and ability to prioritize multiple demands.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with several organizations as well as internal departments.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
