Job description

Position Purpose:
The Housing Operations Supervisor in the Office of Campus Life is integral to fulfilling the ministry's mission by providing oversight of the on-campus living experience and daily operations that translate the vision, heart, and doctrine of our President and Founder, Andrew Wommack, into strategic plans that enhance operational development and efficiency of Student Housing, one of Charis Bible College's highest priority expansion projects. With a comprehensive understanding of the core ministry objectives and processes within Charis, this pivotal role involves developing and supervising logistical and operational elements of the residential campus. The Housing Operations Supervisor serves as a key liaison among students, Residence Life staff, Facilities, and other campus partners to promote a safe and welcoming living environment for the student discipleship experience.
Essential Duties:
  • Assist with the development and production of housing-related reports, including capacity and occupancy.
  • Develops and distributes pre-arrival communications, FAQs, and informational materials to support incoming residents and coordinate messaging across departments.
  • Assist prospective students with inquiries related to on-campus housing options, application procedures, and deadlines.
  • Provide guidance and information to students regarding housing policies, amenities, and living arrangements.
  • Process housing and commuter meal applications, review eligibility criteria, coordinate meal plans, and ensure all required documentation & deposits are completed accurately and on time.
  • Work in collaboration with the admissions team to assist the students in an overall success plan for relocation.
  • Collaborate with the admissions, academics, bursar, operations, and other campus departments as needed in the Housing Admissions process.
  • Maintain accurate records of student housing applications, assignments, and occupancy status using the college's housing management system.
  • Prepare housing reports, statistical data, and other documentation for college administration and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with campus departments to ensure seamless integration of housing services with overall student support initiatives.
  • Serve as a representative for on-campus living at conferences, events, tours, and other promotional initiatives.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive move-in and move-out strategies, including coordination of scheduling logistics and distribution of room keys, access cards, and room condition forms.
  • Optimize processes and opportunities within StarRez, Charis' student housing management system, to streamline and enhance the resident discipleship journey from application to check-in to daily facilities management.
  • Regularly review service request activity within the StarRez work order system, developing and providing a variety of internal management reports to monitor the progress of individual work orders, trends, or unresolved work orders.
  • Serve as a liaison between Residence Life and maintenance/custodial supervisors, vendors, contractors, and staff working in designated buildings, ensuring standards are met.
  • Collaborate with safety and security departments to support risk management strategies that enhance resident safety and well-being.
  • Conduct Housing Inspections to ensure compliance with health & safety standards.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of housing policy, ensuring compliance with Charis Bible College policies, state and federal regulations, and best practices in residential life.
  • Manage special projects, as assigned, including potential new service offerings to students, emphasizing improvement of the living environment.
  • Implement strategies that support the ministry's student housing expansion initiatives in line with the ministry's core values in terms of policies, procedures, and overall resident experience.
  • Prayerfully and personally identify potential risks, constraints, or other issues in residential development and coordinate solutions as needed with all necessary stakeholders.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings utilizing the ministry model of Biblical leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge of housing policies, regulations, and best practices in higher education.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and customer service skills.

Requirements:
  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Must sign the Statement of Faith.
  • Must have a comprehensive understanding of Andrew Wommack's unique heart, doctrine, and beliefs.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
  • A Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred.
  • Must pass all required checks.

Experience:
  • Previous experience in property management, student housing management, admissions, or residential life at a college or university is preferred.
  • 1+ year experience utilizing the StarRez housing software suite, or similar housing software, is preferred.
  • 3+ years of proven property management or comparative experience preferred.
  • 5+ years managing teams in a professional environment is required; within a ministry context is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to complete complex initiatives involving multiple teams and time constraints.
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience.
