Job Description

The Director, Demand Generation is a strategic and execution-focused marketing leader responsible for driving growth, brand affinity, and customer demand for BCBSNC products and services. This role leads the development and activation of integrated, omni-channel marketing strategies that align business goals, customer insights, and budget to measurable outcomes. The ideal candidate is a proactive, results-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and builds high-performing teams through coaching and hands-on leadership.

WhatYou'llDo

  • Lead demand generation strategy, planning, and execution, including budget allocation, channel mix, and performance measurement aligned to business objectives
  • Develop and execute integrated, omni-channel campaigns (digital, direct response, CRM, and email) that drive pipeline growth and customer engagement
  • Partner across business functions to identify growth opportunities and translate customer and market insights into actionable marketing strategies
  • Leverage data, research, and customer intelligence to inform targeting, messaging, and channel optimization decisions
  • Build and optimize media strategies that improve brand affinity and drive measurable demand outcomes
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching, direction, and clear expectations to elevate team capability and performance
  • Operate with strong ownership and accountability, proactively driving initiatives from concept through execution and results

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree (or advanced degree where required)
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing, demand generation, or a related field
  • In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of relevant professional experience

In a Hybrid-Flex role, you'll work in the office at least two days a week for collaboration and connection. In a Remote Flex role, you'll work virtually, with a few in-office visits each year for meaningful moments that matter.

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs.Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.
