Hotel Maintenance EngineerJob Description

The Hotel Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining the hotel's physical plant and equipment. This includes performing routine maintenance and repairs, as well as responding to emergency situations. The Maintenance Engineer must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and must be able to communicate effectively with hotel staff and guests.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Respond to emergency situations, such as power outages, floods, and fire alarms
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and systems to ensure their longevity and efficiency
  • Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs
  • Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and hotel policies
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by the Director of Engineering
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in hotel maintenance or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
