Job description

The Hilton Austin Airport is looking for a talented Line Cook to assist in our Hotel and Restaurant kitchen.
Who We Are:
The recently refreshed Hilton is located in the historic Air Force command building right on Austin-Bergstrom International Airport property. We are proud to be Austin's gateway full-service hotel. The hotel is managed by Pittsburgh, PA based Prospera Hospitality, with over 20 years of property management experience in hotels, restaurants, and convention centers.
What You'll Do:
You will prepare hotel food items while ensuring a visually appealing presentation and a delectable taste.
• Work all stations-the line, window, broiler, ovens, sauté, and pantry.
• Complete prep work relating to shift.
• Prepare entrees according to specification and utilizing recipe cards and specs to ensure consistency.
• Portion control adherence to specifications, food cost control, waste, spoilage, rotation, food properly requisitioned, etc.
• Label, date and wrap everything.
• Clean and sanitize station at the end of shift and prepares for the next shift.
• Place all dirty utensils, glassware, pots, pans, etc. in dish washing area.
• Keep working areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Maintain Hilton F&B standards.
What You'll Receive:
• This position will pay $18.00 per hour to start, with scheduled annual increases.
